Good Day!
Please join hosts Rev Cindy and Steve Mather today as they welcome their guest Justin Andrews!
Justin Andrews is a professionally trained Chef turned Academic, Educator, and Entrepreneur with a deep passion for psychedelics and food systems innovation. As the co-founder of the Nova Scotia Psychedelic Society (NSPS) and former President of the Dalhousie chapter of Canadian Students for Sensible Drug Policy, Justin has dedicated himself to creating spaces where people can openly discuss and explore their psychedelic experiences without stigma.
After life-changing and challenging psychedelic journeys in his early 20s, Justin committed to bringing these conversations into the light during a time when psychedelics were still taboo and now quite mainstream. His advocacy has fostered community engagement and built platforms for sharing stories, helping to shift societal perceptions and normalize these experiences.
Beyond the psychedelic space, Justin has over a decade of experience in the food system, from fine dining and private chef work to launching farmers markets, building community gardens, and conducting research to strengthen local food systems. With a BA in Sustainability and Social Anthropology from Dalhousie University, Justin combines his diverse background to drive meaningful, positive change in both food systems and community-building.
